** Purpose: Realizing a few canon slip-ups i have made, luckily nothing TOO drastic, but still, I am canon-reviewing and gathering all the facts about Mello in order to have a better idea as to what Mello knows when and well...anything else I'd need to know. **

Note: I am mostly only focusing on things up to BF Mello's canon point. 

Timeline: 

12.05.2004 - Mello and Near informed of L's death. Mello leaves Wammy's.

                        *Mello learns about the involvement of Shinigami with the notebook
10.27.2009 - US preident's task force attempts to raid the mafia hideout. Sidoh removes the helmets so Snydar can see the soldier's names
11.10.2009 - The Japanese Task Force raid Mello's Hideout #2
                        *The task force sees Mello's name
                        *Mello's mafia team completely wiped out and the death note taken.
